Manakamana is one of the most revered pilgrimage site in the Country,dedicated to the hindu goddess Bhagwati. It is located in Gorkha district of Nepal. From kathmandu or pokhara

Manakamana Temple roughly halfway between Kathmandu and Pokhara,in Gorkha District,near Kurintar.

🚗 1. By Road to Kurintar (Base of Cable Car)

  • From Kathmandu: ~104 km (~3–4 hours by vehicle)

  • From Pokhara: ~100 km (~3–4 hours by vehicle)

  • You can take:

    • Tourist buses (Kathmandu–Pokhara route, get off at Kurintar)

    • Private vehicle or shared jeep

    • Local buses (get off at Kurintar or Abu Khaireni)

      Once you reach Kurintar,use the Manakamana cable car

    • Cable Car Details:

      • Duration: ~10 minutes (2.8 km long)

      • Operating Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (check for seasonal updates)

      • Tickets: Available at the base station (Different rates for Nepali, SAARC, and foreign nationals)
